Uniform Wares

I think I get it from my granddad but I seem to have an obsession with time and time pieces. Where he was more interested in antiques clocks, I find myself intrigued with more modern pieces especially watches.

My college tutor once said you can tell a lot by a mans watch and I think this 300 series Chronograph by Uniform Wares speaks volumes.

Not embellish with jewels or made from precious metals, this timepiece's stature is present in it's pared down aesthetic, the elegantly balanced symmetry of the chronograph's dials and just the meticulous attention to detail present in the whole design.

Handmade with Machine

First saw this compass and watch by Bremont in this month's edition of Wallpaper, dedicated to the handmade. Came across again it yesterday whilst browsing their site so I thought I'd post it

I love the sheer industrial weight of the design and it's nod to Spitfire navigational dials. Not sure how practical it would be in my life, thought, I'm not one for waistcoats.

At first I though it was just a 'one off' and, sadly not available with a strap (wouldn't really work being double sided), but I've just done a little web search to find this post on ATG Vintage Watches Forum! Where can I buy one please?
