Richard Hamilton 1922 - 2011

Just a short post to pay homage to the late Richard Hamilton, who past away today.

I remember studying "Just What Is It that Makes Today's Homes So Different, So Appealing?" and the collage's prominence in the Pop Art movement back in collage.

It was this painting that I associated him with for such a long time until I discovered more of his work; here are a couple of my favourites.

CY Twombly 1928 -2011

I just found out the America artist CY Twombly has passed away yesterday.

I really like his fluid, almost written style, something I've seen in the past, but I think it's time I really made the effort to investigate further.
